Shaimaa was a State Scholar in 2015 and read law at Queen Mary University of London. In 2019, she completed her LLB with a First-Class (Honours) and was awarded The Queen Mary’s Principal’s Prize for outstanding academic achievement. She then completed the Bar Professional Training Course with mention Outstanding at BPP University (Manchester) and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in November 2020. Shaimaa is a member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn. Following her admission to the Bar of Mauritius in January 2022, she joined the Chambers. Shaimaa undertakes work in all areas of the Chambers’ litigation practice, with a focus in civil, commercial, employment and family litigation. Shaimaa also has a keen interest in data protection matters.
