Ezra Colimalay completed his Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the University of Mauritius in 2015. From 2015 to 2018, he worked in the translation industry. He completed his Bar Vocational Course at the Council for Vocational Legal Education in Mauritius in 2019. He was called to the Mauritian Bar in September 2021 following which he joined the Chambers. He is also a member of the non-governmental organisation DIS MOI, Droits Humains Océan Indien since 2018.
