Didier Dodin

Me Didier Dodin, LL.B (Hons)(London), LL.M (Inns of Court School of Law/City University), Barrister (Mauritius), was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1998 and is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple (England). After having spent several years in England, teaching law, he was admitted to the Mauritian Bar in 2006. Since November 2010, he joined Ahnee-Duval Law Firm at its inception and worked there until September 2021, when he joined us.

 

He is a Mauritius Qualifications Authority (MQA) approved trainer in Law and is routinely sought after by public and private bodies to hold workshops on legal topics ranging from data protection to employment law. He is on the panel of examiners for the Council of Vocational Education and is also an approved trainer, for advocacy training, at the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies in Mauritius. He is the Chairman of the Motor Vehicle Insurance Arbitration Committee. In 2018, he was appointed, by the Government of the Republic of Mauritius, as Chairman of a Committee of Inquiry into a Parastatal body. In 2020, Me Didier Dodin served as an elected member of the Bar Council of the Mauritius Bar Association.

 

Areas of practice: Civil and Criminal law at all court levels in Mauritius together with advisory services, Employment-related matters before the Commission for Conciliation and Mediation, the Employment Relations Tribunal, the Redundancy Board, the Industrial Court and the Supreme Court of Mauritius.
